What is Bonk Coin: Time for NFT Shopping

First of all. I don’t know if I made it too clear in other posts, but with this blog….it’s best to think of it as a friend (me) sending you an email or very long text. lol. I’m more focused on getting my point across more so than trying to create a properly structured blog post (or be grammatically correct).

With that out of that way, I’ll share the BONK story.

You might be wondering, ‘What is Bonk Coin?’

Well….I woke up today (Jan 4, 2023) at about 10AM. I looked at my Phantom Wallet and saw that I had 951 Million Bonk Coin….which is a coin that I never heard of.

I laughed at first. It’s common to get airdrops from different coins and NFT’s, but normally they don’t have any value…meaning, you can’t go on Raydium.io and swap them for Solana or USDC.

At any rate, this one seemed different because it was showing that there was a value ($1778.70) attached to it.

I didn’t know what to think, so in a panic, I quickly (and I mean quickly) tried to convert it to Solana.

I was thinking, let me cash out before it goes away.

When I went to Raydium.io and tried to swap it from Solana, it never went through.

It just kept getting hung up. I wasn’t shocked. I thought it was too good to be true, anyway. Then I went on Twitter and $BONK was
trending. WTF?

And someone said it’s better to convert it to USDC. I was thinking, “Ok. Let’s give that a try.”

I figured it was worth a shot.

I tried. It didn’t work.
I tried again. Still didn’t work.

So I tried about 75% and then suddenly, it went through!!

So I did the remaining 25% and that also went through.

So, there you go.

Awesome feeling! On top of that, just two days ago the guy in front of me at the Target checkout, just gave me a gift card.

If I remember correctly, he said, “Happy Holidays” or something like that.

What are my plans?
Plan #1. Buy some BONK. Even though I initially sold every BONK coin I was airdropped,  I’m now a fan. So, I’ll be a holder.
Plan #2. Give away some BONK. It makes sense to spread the love.
Plan #3. Go on an NFT shopping spree.

Edit: It’s now 11:41 PM and I’ve done all three plans. Time to get in the bed.
